Which cookies ToBePolo uses, what they are for and which depend on your consent. You can manage the optional ones and change your choices with the preferences button below.

This document informs you about how ToBePolo S.r.l. (hereinafter the Data Controller) uses cookies and similar technologies on the site www.tobepolo.com and its related environments (hereinafter the Site).
These technologies make it possible to save information on the User’s device or to use resources (for example a script) when the User interacts with the Site. For simplicity, in this document they are called Tracking Tools, unless it is useful to distinguish them. The term Cookies specifically indicates the files saved in the browser.
Some purposes require the User’s consent. Consent, once given, can be withdrawn at any time by following the instructions in this document.
The Site uses first-party Tracking Tools, managed by the Data Controller, and third-party Tracking Tools, which enable services provided by others. Duration and expiry depend on the settings of the Data Controller or of the third-party provider. Some expire at the end of the session.
This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Notice.
How the Site Uses Tracking Tools
Necessary
The Site uses technical cookies and similar tools for activities strictly necessary to run and provide the service: session, authentication, cart and bookings, security, essential preferences.
First-party tools
moove_gdpr_popup: stores your choice of cookie categories for 180 days. You can review it at any time from “Cookie preferences”.- Technical session cookies, necessary for login, account and checkout.
- Cookies or local storage for service functions (for example the favourites list for users who are not signed in).
These tools do not require consent, because they are indispensable to the Site.
External content and experience
Videos embedded from YouTube or Vimeo are loaded only after you consent to the “External content” category. This choice does not stop you watching videos uploaded directly to ToBePolo. You can withdraw it from the preferences panel: the site then stops loading external videos.
The support chat “Talk to the team” is provided by Intercom (Intercom R&D Unlimited Company, Ireland) and is loaded only after consent to the “External content” category. Without consent the chat does not start and saves nothing on your device: you can write to us from the Contact page. If you withdraw consent, the chat switches off and its cookies and the data saved in the browser are deleted.
The Site may use Tracking Tools to improve the browsing experience and to show external content (fonts, maps, embedded platforms).
Third-party tools
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited) — font display. Place of processing: Ireland. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Trustpilot (Trustpilot A/S) — box in the footer for leaving a review of ToBePolo. It is loaded only after you consent to the “External content” category; without consent it remains a plain link to the Trustpilot website. Place of processing: Denmark (EU). See Trustpilot’s privacy policy.
- OpenStreetMap / Leaflet Maps — display of the experiences map. Technical connection data may be exchanged with the map tile providers.
Measurement
The Site counts visits and the main actions (searches, listings opened, bookings) with its own tool, on ToBePolo’s server: without cookies, without storing the IP address and without external services. The script that counts visits does not start if the browser asks not to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control).
Where use is based on consent, the User can give or withdraw it from the browser settings or, where available, from the preferences panel on the Site.
How to control or delete cookies
You can use your browser settings to:
- see which cookies are present on the device;
- block cookies or similar technologies;
- delete cookies already saved.
Browser settings do not always allow fine-grained control by category. Instructions for the most common browsers are available on their makers’ websites (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
For Third Party Tracking Tools, you may also use opt-out links or vendor privacy policies.
Consequences of refusal
The User is free to accept or refuse Tracking Tools that are not necessary. Blocking technical cookies may however prevent login, account, cart and bookings from working properly. Without consent to “External content”, YouTube and Vimeo videos, the Trustpilot box and the support chat are not loaded.

Legal definitions and references
Personal Data: any information that, alone or combined with other information, identifies a natural person or makes them identifiable.
Usage data: information collected automatically, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, times and duration of the session.
User: whoever uses the Site; unless otherwise stated, the User is also the Data Subject.
Data Subject: the natural person to whom the Personal Data refers.
Data Controller: ToBePolo S.r.l., which determines purposes and means of processing.
Cookie: small portions of data stored in the browser.
Tracking tool: any technology (cookies, identifiers, scripts, fingerprinting) that allows you to track Users.
Unless otherwise stated, references to the European Union include the European Economic Area. This policy concerns the ToBePolo Site.
