ToBePolo is a small software company from the province of Mantua. We build the tool that lets people who know a craft teach it, and people who want to learn it book a place and go.

Marco Polo told the world about Italy. Seven hundred years later, we want people to learn it: one craft at a time, from those who practise it every day.
We start with the skills that risk not being passed on to the next generation: the workshop, the studio, the farm, the office. Those who know them teach them; those who want to learn them get their hands dirty.
We were born in Castiglione delle Stiviere, between Lake Garda and Mantua. The lake gets many visitors; twenty minutes from the shore there are workshops that almost nobody finds.
We are starting here, together with the local municipalities, and will then take the same way of working to the rest of Italy.
As a team we work on software, contracts, payments, tax, relations with municipalities and communication.
Some of us have studied and worked abroad, others have always known the local businesses and associations. It takes both: a booking takes a minute, but behind it there are checks, contracts and support.
Most of the price of every booking goes to the person who teaches. The rest pays for the platform, payments and support.
People who know a craft teach it to people who want to learn it, often from a different generation. You learn by doing, not by watching.
We look for crafts and experiences in small towns and inland too, available all year. That way, people visiting Lake Garda don’t stop at the shore.
We are not a communications agency. We write the software that holds together calendar, payments, contracts, document checks and chat. The craft stays with the person who teaches it.
